Hi everyone! I'm going to offer all of you three chances at a free dinner at Fort Yargo. Here are the details:
I am the Camp Director for Camp Strong4Life (www.choa.org/campstrong4life), a camp for overweight and obese children and their families, through Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. I am finalizing our plans for our upcoming family welcome weekends, during which campers and their families will learn about the Strong4Life Healthy Habits, practice skills to help them build and maintain healthy lifestyles, and set goals for lifestyle change.
I am inviting the Faster Mustache team to be our Saturday evening dinner guests during one (or multiple) of our family weekends. The campers and their families are learning table manners/etiquette earlier in the day. Research suggests that the table manners will help them be more mindful of what and how they eat, and encourages family meals (which has many health and social benefits). I am inviting you to be our dinner guests, so that the campers and families could practice their new hosting skills and table manners with real guests that evening. Additionally, if you're on Faster Mustache then you are probably somewhat committed to an active lifestyle, so you make good role models for the campers and their families. (Just don't mention your beer drinking. :) )
Camp Strong4Life takes place at Camp Twin Lakes, Will-a-way in Winder, GA (specifically, within Fort Yargo State Park). Dinner is always scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 pm. We have several dates for you to consider:
Saturday, April 21st
Saturday, April 28th
Saturday, May 12th
If I were you, I would go mountain biking all day at Fort Yargo and then join us for dinner that evening.
If you have questions or are interested in attending, you can contact me at 4o4-785-7242 or laura.colbert[at]choa.org. Thanks!
